Day 25 – Overcoming Doubts & Struggles in Hifz
Shaytan whispers, “You can’t do this.” The Qur’an says, “Yes, you can.”
Bismillāh al-Rahmān al-Rahīm
Assalāmu ‘Alaykum!
It’s Day 25 of Hifz Together: 30 Days of Hifz!
Every Hafiz, at some point, doubts themselves.
"Am I even capable of memorising?"
"Why do I keep forgetting?"
"I’ll never be able to complete my Hifz..."
These thoughts are normal—but they’re also lies from Shaytan.
Today, we focus on how to push through the struggle and stay strong.
Requesting your prayers,
- Qāri’ Mubashir
📖 Today’s Memorisation: Surah Al-Hadid (57:25)
📖 "We have already sent Our messengers with clear proofs and sent down with them the Scripture and the balance that the people may maintain justice. And We sent down iron, wherein is great military might and benefits for the people, and so that Allah may make evident those who support Him and His messengers unseen. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Almighty."
This āyah reminds us that the Qur’an is a trust given to us.
When you doubt yourself, remember: Allah would not have chosen you for Hifz if you were not capable.
Your struggle is proof that you’re growing.
✅ Complete by the end of the day.
🔄 Revision Challenge
For Everyone Memorising Surah Al-Hadid:
Revise āyāt 57:1–24 without looking.
Add today’s āyah (57:25) and focus on its strength and meaning.
Challenge: Recite your weakest āyah 5 extra times today to strengthen it.
For Those Revising Other Sections of the Qur’ān:
1️⃣ Tackle Your Weakest Āyah:
Pick one ayah you always struggle with and repeat it 10 times.
2️⃣ Flip the Negative Thought:
Write down a Hifz struggle, then write a Qur’anic solution to overcome it.
3️⃣ Trust in Allah:
Whenever Shaytan whispers "You can’t do this," respond with:
رَّبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا ("My Lord, increase me in knowledge.")
✅ Write down one positive affirmation about your Hifz journey.
🎯 Assignment 25: Defeating Doubts in Hifz (10 minutes!)
1️⃣ Set a timer for 10 minutes.
2️⃣ Reflect on these:
What’s the biggest doubt you have in Hifz?
What’s the real reason you struggle? (Laziness? Distractions? Fear?)
How can you fight back against these struggles?
📝 Example:
Doubt: I keep forgetting my Hifz, maybe I’m not good at it.
Reality: Everyone forgets! Even the Sahabah had to revise.
Solution: I will spend 5 extra minutes daily reviewing older Hifz.
✅ Use today’s lesson to push past your doubts.
